adxba installed and managed the CCTV, Music System and hosts the website for AI Bars. This includes a central music server, controlable via a web page with backup to ensure that hardware/software failure does not destroy the data. Which is piped out to several locational speakers within the premises. A CCTV central server which includes 10 Cameras, installed in critical locations which are recorded and kept for 2 months to keep with guidelines, a digital advertising screen which allows the bar to show latest offers, recent events, and even advertise local businesses and a Wireless Access Point for customers.

Both the music server and CCTV server are accessible remotely by key staff, which allows the bar to be managed externally while staff manage the customers and keep the bar running. Wireless internet is provided for customers within the premisis so customers can browse or work as they enjoy a drink or a bite to eat.

Music Server

Hardware: Dell Optiplex GX745, with 2 Terrabyte SATA Hard drives

The music server runs on Windows XP and uses WinAMP with the AjaxAMP add on to allow remote control of the music server. Additional hard drives have been fitted to the server to ensure that there is enough space for current and future music to be copied to the drive. This ensures that cds don't have to be used to play the music, and also ensures that the entire library can be played straight from the hard drive. The system pipes the music into a 4 Channel Audio Distribution Amp made by Control Concepts, which is then piped out to speakers around the 2 bar areas.

CCTV

Hardware: Dell Optiplex GX745, with 2 Terrabyte SATA Hard drives and 16 Channel CCTV Recording DVR PCI interface card.

The CCTV server runs on Windows XP and uses ActiveWebcam to provide Camera Recording and Remote web access to live feeds and the Recordings, additional hard drives were added in a Raid format to ensure space does not run low due to the constant recording, this also ensures that if one of the hard drives fail, the data will still be intact on the other hard drive. Cameras are Dome cameras with BNC connections back to the CCTV server, the cameras are setup in vital areas to protect staff and premises, and to provide evidence if needed.

Wireless Internet

Hardware: Linksys WRT54G running custom linux OpenWRT firmware

Wireless internet is becoming ever more popular in establishments such as Bars/Cafes etc. Using the WRT54G with a custom linux OpenWRT firmware ensures that the companies network is secure and seperate from customers using the internet connection for browsing. When a new customer connects to the wireless they are presented with a friendly splash page with information on the premises, including latest offers. It also allows them to review the terms and conditions of using the connection before proceeding to click agree and browse. The customer is then free to browse without interuption during thier session. But if they start a new session they have to agree to Terms and Conditions again, this allows the provider to keep the customer up to date with latest offer and terms and conditions, without being over powering.

Digital Advertising and Information

Hardware: Panasonic TH-42PS10BK, powered by Dell Optiplex GX745

The installed display, powered by adxba digital signage application Xces, allows AIbars to provide customers with up to date offers, pictures of previous events, videos of previous events, information of upcoming events and also allows them to provide advertising for local businesses as well as products (such as brewery advertising). This system is easily updateable locally by pen drive and remotely by web access. Which means that the screen is never out of date, and is in the customers eyeview at all times.

Bluetooth Marketing

Hardware: xBlue Bluetooth Marketing Box

AIbars signed up to use the xBlue Bluetooth Marketing box for 1 week a month for 6 months, this allows AIbars to send current offers, interesting information and general advertising to customers in range of the xBlue box, this is easily updateable by Memory card or via remote website, and has fully customisable campaigns. They can also send out applications and games to thier customers.
